Michael Peace - Problem Horse - Bolting

Bolting

True bolting is a response to fear, where a horse resorts to its primary instict to flee. It usually occurs in young horses when they have been upset by the rider. To deal with this problem, horses often need to be brought back to basics and taught how to rationalise, so that they stop and think rather than run away.
