In House Training – Sending your problem horse to Michael
During your horse’s stay, we will take care of all your horse’s training, stabling, feeding and turnout, and will give you regular updates on your horse’s progress throughout. When you come to visit, you can watch Michael work with your horse, discuss progress and learn some of the Think Equus techniques. Towards the end of the training period Michael will spend time with you and coach you, one to one, on how to continue your horse’s training in the future.
This option is ideal for young horse who need introducing to their first saddle, bridle, long-lines and rider. It is also good for horses that are having problems with napping, schooling, rearing, bucking, clipping etc.
The average stay is between 3 and 4 weeks and it’s important to note that Michael works all the horses each day himself.
A horse’s stay costs £67 per day for training and £24.43 per day for livery and please note all prices are plus VAT

Michael’s stables are in the village of Islip on the B4027, which is just 10 minutes north east of Oxford City centre. Find us on Google Maps here.
Please note there is a minimum stay for horses coming to Michael’s of 2 weeks.
Although we understand that it’s a big decision to send your horse away for training, Michael’s reputation and many client testimonials prove that it is the best money they’ve ever spent on their horse.
